Pastor Nestor’s faith journey began in New Hampshire when, at the age of twenty, he started to follow Christ, and deepened six years later when he sensed a call to ministry. Over the next few years this led him to Bible School, missionary training, and short-term missions, both locally and overseas.

 Nestor began to serve in pastoral ministry 1n 1997, first as associate minister of an inner-city church in New York City, and then as a church planter in northeastern PA. Nestor also served in clinical pastoral care at a 702-bed skilled nursing facility in northern NJ during this time. While there, Nestor began to pursue post-graduate studies at Alliance University, completing his M.A. in Biblical Literature with an emphasis on New Testament Greek in 2011. Nestor continued to serve the academic community of AU as an adjunct professor, teaching assistant and mentor in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care classes until its closing in 2023. In 2013 Nestor accepted the call to pastor the Peckville Alliance Church, and five years later began to lead the church through a merger with the Country Alliance Church in Clarks Summit. The newly merged Cornerstone Alliance Church was planted in Dickson City in 2020.

In April of 2024, Nestor received the call to pastor the Alliance Community Fellowship in Rutland, VT. This fulfills a long-standing desire to return to the New England area where he first began to follow Christ. A naturalist, contemplative and outdoorsman by nature, Nestor looks forward to bringing his leadership, discipleship and mentoring skill set to bear in the service of ACF and the greater Rutland community, as well as enjoying the presence of the Creator God in the places and spaces he loves most.
